Lancers and Storm Swap Players
Omaha Sends Malinowski to Tri-City for Koufis, Brooks, and 2018 Pick

Ralston, NE –The Omaha Lancers and Tri-City Storm swapped players, a pair of whom whom were both selected in the 2017 USHL Draft. Omaha sent defenseman Anthony Malinowski, who was selected with the ninth overall pick in the 2017 Phase II USHL Draft, to the Storm in exchange for forwards TJ Koufis, and Barrett Brooks, as well as a tenth-round pick in the 2018 Phase I USHL Draft
Koufis, a 2001 birth year, was the Storm’s ninth round pick in the 2017 Phase I Draft. Last season Koufis was teammates with Omaha affiliates Tyler Carpenter, Brian Silver, and 2017 Phase I draft pick Nicholas Belpedio while playing for Chicago Mission 16U. The forward is committed to attend Wisconsin after his junior career is over.
Brooks is a native of Stevens Point, WI and spent the last two seasons with Team Wisconsin U14 and U16.
Malinowski was the Lancers second pick (first round, ninth overall) in Phase II of the 2017 USHL Draft. A native of Clarkston, MI, the defenseman is committed to attend Minnesota State for the 2018-19 season.
