Lancers Eighth Round Pick Makes College Choice
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ralston, NE – Defenseman Greg Japchen announced his commitment to the University of Nebraska-Omaha, he announced on Twitter Monday evening.
Japchen, a 2001 birth year, spent the 2016-17 season playing with Philadelphia Jr. Flyers 16U.
“The school and the facilities are amazing. As soon as I stepped on campus and saw the rink I knew that it was the right place for me.”
A defenseman, Japchen, netted six points (2g, 4a) in a 32-game season with the Jr. Flyers last season. Prior to rejoining the Jr. Flyers organization the Doylestown, PA native spent the 2015-16 season playing for Shattuck-St. Mary in Minnesota.
