FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Ralston, NE -- The Storm scored four unanswered goals in the first period Thursday night as they topped over the Lancers 5-1 in pre-season play at Ralston Arena.

Tri-City had four unanswered goals in the first period. Tyler Ward opened up the scoring for the Storm sniping the puck past Zach Driscoll's shoulder. The scoring continued with goals from Johnny McDermott, Connor McMenamin and Ben Almquist putting the Storm up 4-0 over Omaha. That forced the Lancers to pull Driscoll and replace him with Keegan Karki.

In the third period, Noah Cates opened up the scoring for the Lancers. Cates drove hard to the right side of the net, passed the puck to Ethan Price. Price then passed the puck back to Cates who snuck it past Filip Larsson. Tri-City answered back quickly when Caleb Rule scored to seal the deal for the Storm to win 5-1.

Omaha is on the road this weekend facing Tri-City Saturday at 7:35 p.m at Viearo Events Center.

Omaha opens up regular season play Friday, October 6th against Tri-City at Ralston Arena.
