Lancers Trade Hamelin​​​​​​​

Ralston, NE —The Omaha Lancers have traded defenseman Derek Hamelin on Thursday to the Langley Rivermen of the BCHL for future considerations.

Hamelin, a Mercier Quebec native, played in 6 games during the 2017-18 season for the Lancers. Last year, Hamelin played in 58 games for the Lancers and had 19 points (4 goals and 15 assists). Hamelin is committed to play college hockey at Canisius College for the 2018-19 season. 

The Lancers return to the ice on Friday, October 27th to face the Des Moines Buccaneers. Face-off is at 7:05 pm and can be heard on News Talk 1290 and seen on Hockey TV. Tickets are still available, visit the Ralston Arena box office or visit for more information.
