Lancers fall, 2-1

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sioux City, IA — The Omaha Lancers faced off against the Sioux City Musketeers on Sunday night for a New Year’s Eve showdown at Tyson Events Center. The Lancers welcomed more new faces to Sunday nights lineup with the additions of Barrett Brooks (2001, F) and Chase Brand (1999, F). This was the second matchup between these two teams this season. It was also Mathieu De St. Phalle’s first time returning to face-off against his ex-team.

In the first period, Mathieu De St. Phalle scored on his ex-team as he got a nice pass backdoor from Tyler Carpenter.

In the third, Sioux City broke the tie when Brady Ferner got the puck past Zach Driscoll.

The game went into overtime but soon ended when Parker Ford scored the game-winning goal and gave the Musketeers the 2-1 win.

Zach Driscoll stopped 46of the 48 shots that he faced.
