RALSTON, NE - The Sioux City Musketeers edged the Omaha Lancers by a final score of 2-1 on Friday night.
In the first period, Matt Miller (11:36) got the game's first goal. Miller shot the puck from the left circle to beat Akira Schmid far-side. The Musketeers kept the 1-0 lead into the first intermission.
After a scoreless second period, the Musketeers increased their lead to 2-0 with a goal from Bobby Brink (10:23). The Lancers answered back on the power-play when Jan Kern (11:27) scored from the slot. The Lancers pulled Schmid for the extra attacker on the power-play but could not score on Kraws. Sioux City would keep the Lancers at bay to end the third period and took the 2-1 win.
The Lancers are now 23-23-4-4 on the year with 54 points.
