Lancers take down Stampede, 4-2

RALSTON, NE - The Lancers defeated the Sioux Falls Stampede on Sunday evening by a final score of 4-2.

In the second period, Bryce Brodzinski (3:42) shot the puck past Jaxson Stauber to get the Lancers ahead 1-0. The Stampede evened up the game when Sam Stevens (9:13) scored short-handed on Akira Schmid. The Lancers rallied to end the period to take back the lead. Chase Bradley (15:55) found the rebound shot from Daniel Hilsendager to get Omaha ahead again 2-1.

In the third period, the Lancers added onto their lead with another goal from Bryce Brodzinski (13:53). Minutes later and on the power-play, Artem Ivanyuzhenkov (16:33) scored from the slot to get the game within one goal. The Stampede pulled Stauber for the extra attacker and the Lancers capitalized on the empty net with Grant Anderson (19:42). The Lancers defeated the Stampede by a final score of 4-2.

The Lancers have improved to 24-23-4-4 on the year with 56 points.
