LANCERS ADD SUTTON IN DEAL WITH STEEL

RALSTON, NE - The Omaha Lancers announced today (Tuesday) that the club has made a trade with the Chicago Steel for Veteran Forward Matthew Sutton. 

Along with Sutton, Omaha also received a 2021 Phase I 9th round draft pick in exchange for a 2021 Phase I 3rd round draft pick. 

Sutton appeared in 35 games last season with the Steel. The Gibsonia, PA native recorded 5 points on the season. Sutton is committed to playing NCAA hockey at Brown University. Sutton also appeared in 10 playoff games with the Eastern Conference Campion Chicago Steel, who went on to play in the Clark Cup finals. 

Sutton will make his debut as a Lancers on Friday, September 20th against the Tri-City Storm. Puck drop for Friday’s preseason game is at 7:05 pm at Ralston Arena. Admission is five dollars at the door.
