Lancers Fall in OT to Storm, 3-2

RALSTON, NE - The Omaha Lancers were defeated in overtime by the Tri-City Storm on Saturday night by a final score of 3-2. 

In the first period, Daniel Hilsendager (11:52) got his second goal of the season and the Lancers ahead 1-0. Hilsendager fake the shot from the blue line drove in towards Daniel Allin and snuck it past him. The game stayed 1-0 going into the first intermission.

In the second period, the Storm scored two back-to-back goals. The first coming from Colby Ambrosio (6:52) on the PP, followed by Ian Murphy (7:40) off a tip-in. Minutes later, the Lancers would even the game 2-2 with a goal from Cam Berg (12:27).

There were no goals were scored in the third period as the game would go to overtime. In the extra frame, and with forty-seconds to play, Cole McWard (4:20) fired the puck from the high slot beating Jakub Dobes to get the Storm a 3-2 win. The Lancers are now 3-5-2-0 with 8 points. 

The Lancers return to action on Friday, November 1st in Dubuque. Puck drop is at 7:05 pm. All the action can be heard on News Talk 1290 AM and seen on HockeyTV.
