WEEKEND PREVIEW: RIVALRY ON THE ROAD

LANCERS, STARS AT ICE BOX

RALSTON, NE - The Omaha Lancers (4-6-2-0) will take on in-state rival Lincoln Stars (7-3-1-1) Friday night at the Ice Box. 

This will be the second time these two in-state rivals have battled this season. The Stars spoiled the Lancers home opener on Saturday, October 12 by a final score of 6-1. Since that showing the Lancers have gone 2-3-1-0, and they currently sit at 6th place in the USHL Western Conference. 

Friday will be the first time newly acquired forward and Ex-Star, Ross Mitton, will be playing against his old squad. As for the opposition, it will be the first time Ex-Lancer, Blais Richartz, will be battling against his old team. 

Puck drop is at 7:05 pm and all of the action can be seen on HockeyTV.

TEAM NOTES

Lancers Notes (4-6-2-0) 10 Points:

  • Alex Campbell is the 11th top scorer in the USHL with 13 points (5-8-13)

  • Christian Berger is the highest defensive scorer for the Lancers with 7 points (2-5-7)

  • Ross Mitton, Ryan Sorkin, and Jack Randl all scored their first goals as Lancers on Saturday night’s 4-0 win over Sioux Falls

  • Kyle McClellan earned his first USHL shutout on Saturday 

  • Goaltender Stats:
