BLACK HAWKS, LANCERS DUEL AT YOUNG ARENA FRIDAY, SATURDAY

RALSTON, NE - The Omaha Lancers (5-6-2-0) will take on the Western Conference leaders, Waterloo Black Haws (9-3-1-0) for a weekend series at Young Arena.

Friday will be the first time the two teams have met since the 2019 preseason, where the Lancers topped the Black Hawks 6-2 in Omaha. The Black Hawks have been perfect (4-0) on home ice this season, while the Lancers have gone 2-4-1-0 on the road. Over the past ten games, the Lancers are 3-5-2-0 and the Black Hawks 6-3-1-0.

The Lancers have found solid play in the pipes from Kyle McClellan in his past two starts, shutting out Sioux Falls 4-0 and only allowing 2 goals against Lincoln in a 6-2 win. Waterloo has split net presence this season between Logan Stein and Gabriel Carriere who have both played in 7 games.

Puck drop for both Friday and Saturday is at 7:05 pm. The action on Friday can be heard on News Talk 1290 AM and seen on HockeyTV. Saturday’s game will only be broadcasted on HockeyTV.
