RALSTON, NE - The Omaha Lancers (9-7-3-0) will take on the reigning Clark Cup Champions, Sioux Falls Stampede (5-11-3-0) for a weekend series at Ralston Arena starting on Friday night.
The Lancers have continued to roll, winning four games in a row and gaining a point in their past five games played. The Lancers are 6-2-2-0 in their past ten games played and currently have 21 points and a spot at 4th in the Western Conference.
The Lancers and Stampede have battled once before the upcoming weekend series back on November 2nd. The Lancers shutout the Stampede that game 4-0 where Kyle McClellan earned his first USHL shutout against his ex-team. That game was also Ross Mitton and Ryan Sorkin’s debut at home as Lancers, and where they both scored their first goals.
The Stampede is on a 2-0-1-0 streak right now, due in part to the returning of the 2019 Clark Cup Final MVP Goaltender Jaxson Stauber. Stauber has gone 2-0 in the net for the Stampede since coming back from Minnesota State University. The Stampede is 3-5-2-0 in their past ten games.
Both games are set to start at 7:05 pm and will be broadcasted on KOIL News Talk 1290 AM and HockeyTV.
