RALSTON, NE - The Omaha Lancers (9-7-5-0) will take on the Waterloo Black Hawks (16-5-1-0) Friday and Saturday at Ralston Arena ahead of the USHL Holiday break.
Omaha is off of two losses last weekend against the Sioux Falls Stampede, but are still on a seven-game point streak (4-0-3-0). The Lancers currently sit tied for fourth place in the USHL Western Conference with 23 points. The Lancers are also 6-1-3-0 in their past ten games played.
The Lancers and Black Hawks have faced off twice before this weekend’s meeting. It was the Black Hawks topping the Lancers in both showings at Young Arena; 4-3 on Friday, November 15th and 4-3 in overtime on Saturday, November 16th.
The Black Hawks are fresh off an upsetting weekend being swept by the Lincoln Stars at the Ice Box. The Western Conference leaders currently have 33 points and are 7-3 in their past ten games played.
Friday is Ugly Sweater Night as the Lancers will be wearing specialty jerseys during the game that will be available for a silent auction. Saturday is Faith and Family Night along with Alumni Night, the first 500 fans in the doors will receive a one-of-a-kind Lancers Alumni poster. Both games are set to start at 7:05 pm and will be broadcasted on KOIL News Talk 1290 AM and HockeyTV.
