RALSTON, NE - Omaha Lancers defenseman Grant Anderson announced his commitment to Sacred Heart University via Twitter.
Anderson is in his third season with the Lancers. In his USHL career, Anderson has played in 131 USHL Games, 2 of those with the Green Bay Gamblers and 129 with the Lancers.
“He [Anderson] has come in a been a great Lancer for three years,” Head Coach and General Manager David Wilkie said. “He has persevered through some ups and downs in his USHL playing career, but I cannot properly express how happy we all are for him to have this tremendous opportunity with Sacred Heart.”
The defenseman has totaled 41 points so far in his career. This season, Anderson has played in 23 games this season and has recorded 12 points (3G, 9A).
For the past two seasons, Anderson has been a leader for the Lancers and has been named an Alternate Captain for the squad.
“We are looking forward to his continued progression as an athlete as he works towards the next phase of his hockey journey,” Wilkie said.
