Steel score six unanswered on Lancers, Will with lone Lancers goal

GENEVA, IL - The Omaha Lancers were defeated by the Chicago Steel on Saturday night by a final score of 6-1.

The Steel got ahead of the Lancers 2-0 in the first period with Sam Colangelo (7:51) and Mackie Samoskevich (13:17) scoring. 

After a scoreless second period, the Steel added four unanswered goals from 1:24 until 11:32 in the third period. With the score 6-0, Logan Will (16:45) scored the Lancers lone goal of the night for a 6-1 final.

The Lancers are now 15-11-6-0 and sit at 4th place in the USHL Western Conference with 36 points. 

The Lancers are back in action on Friday, January 24th at Ralston Arena against the Dubuque Fighting Saints. Puck drop is at 7:05 pm and can be heard and seen on HockeyTV.
