Storm defeat Lancers, 5-2

KEARNEY, NE - The Omaha Lancers were defeated by the Tri-City Storm on Sunday by a final score of 5-2. 

The Storm came out of the gates hot in the first period, scoring three unanswered goals. Benji Eckerle (3:20) netted the first goal of the night. Connor Mazur (5:16) would add the second of the night on a short-handed goal. Nearing the end of the period, Colby Ambrosio (18:35) scored the third to end the period with a score of 3-0. 

In the second period, Brian Silver (11:40) got the Lancers on the board getting the puck in past Todd Scott. He was assisted by Logan Will and Ross Mitton. The Storm would answer back quickly when Nick Portz (12:04) snapped the puck in past Jakub Dobes to get the Storm ahead 4-1 to end the period. 

In the third period, Jack Randl (1:03) got the Lancers their second goal of the night. Late in the period and will Dobes pulled, the Storm would add on to their lead to take a 5-2 win over the Lancers. 

The Lancers return to the ice on Saturday, February 1st to battle the Sioux City Musketeers at the Tyson Events Center. Puck drop is at 7:05 PM with all of the action on KOIL 1290 AM and HockeyTV.
