WEEKEND PREVIEW: THREE-IN-THREE

LANCERS PLAY HOST STARS, HOST STARS, AND BUCCANEERS 

RALSTON, NE - The Omaha Lancers (17-12-6-1) will take on two Western Conference teams in three games this weekend. 

The Lancers will kick off the weekend facing off against the Lincoln Stars on Friday at the Ice Box. It will be the fifth time these two rivals have met this season. The Lancers have a 3-1 record this season against the Stars. In the previous back-to-back meeting, the Lancers swept the Stars winning 4-2 at the Ice Box and then 4-3 in overtime at Ralston Arena. 

The Lancers and Stars will meet up for game two of the three-game weekend on Saturday at Ralston Arena for Teddy Bear Toss Night. Fans are encouraged to bring in stuffed animals to toss onto the ice after the Lancer’s first goal. All proceeds will go to local charities. Puck drop for both Friday and Saturday is at 7:05 PM. All of the action will be broadcasted on KOIL 1290 AM and HockeyTV. 

The Lancers will then host the Des Moines Buccaneers on Sunday to end the three-game weekend. The Buccaneers and Lancers have not seen each other since November 30th at Ralston Arena where Omaha took a 6-4 win. Des Moines will face off against the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders on Friday and Saturday before facing the Lancers. Puck drop is set for 4:05 PM and will be broadcasted on HockeyTV and KOIL 1290 AM.

Des Moines Buccaneers(18-17-1-2) 39 Points - 7th Place Western Conference: 

  • Alex Laferriere is the top-scoring Buccaneer with 37 points (sixteen goals, twenty-one assists)

  • Josh Luedtke leads all Des Moines defenders with 16 points  

  • Goaltender Stats:

    • Cameron Rowe: 3.66 GAA | .898 SV%

    • Christian Stoever: 3.23 GAA | .904 SV%
