RALSTON, NE - The Omaha Lancers have announced the acquiring of Forward Tyler Carpenter today in a deal with the Chicago Steel.
In the trade, the Lancers moved Tomas Mazura, Hudson Thornton, and three draft picks. In exchange, Omaha received Tyler Carpenter and five draft picks.
"Tyler grew up in our system and we love him as a player and person," General Manager and Head Coach David Wilkie said. "We are so happy to be able to reacquire him and have him finish out his junior career as a Lancer once again."
Carpenter, who will return to Omaha for what will be his third season with the Lancers, spent last year with the Chicago Steel. While appearing in 49 games, the forward recorded 27 points in his time with Chicago.
As a Lancer, Carpenter has recorded 124 games played and has recorded a total of 38 points. Carpenter was originally drafted by the Lancers in 2016 in the 6th round (#83 overall).
Carpenter is committed to playing NCAA hockey at the University of Notre Dame. He is a product of the Chicago Mission program.
