RALSTON, NE - The Omaha Lancers stormed past the Sioux City Musketeers on Sunday night by a final score of 4-1.
In the first period, Justin Hryckowian (6:02) netted the first goal of the night beating the left-side of Jakub Dobes. The Lancers went on their second power-play of the game when Noah Carlin (16:30) shot the puck from the blue line to score on Alex Tracy to even the game 1-1. Zakary Karpa and Ryan Lautenbach were called on the assists.
Late in the second period, and on the power-play, Garrett Wright (18:44) netted his first goal of the season and got the Lancers ahead of the Musketeers 2-1.
In the third period, Liam Devlin (5:48) extended the Lancer’s lead with a snipe of a shot to beat Tracy from the left circle making the score 3-1. Then ten-seconds later, Jack Jensen (5:58) put the puck low on Tracy for a final score of 4-1. Dobes stopped 17 of the 18 Sioux City shots he faced.
The Lancers are now 6-3 on the season with 12 points and sit at second place in the USHL West.
The Lancers return to home ice on Friday, December 18th to face the Waterloo Black Hawks for the first time this season. Puck drop is at 7:05 PM. All the action is on HockeyTV and MixLR.
