RALSTON, NE - The Tri-City Storm defeated the Omaha Lancers by a final score of 5-1 on Saturday night.
The Storm got ahead of the Lancers in the first period when Mike Posma (8:05) netted his first goal of the season scoring on Jakub Dobes. The Storm attack continued with Adam Klapka (10:57) scoring off of a faceoff draw to the right side of Dobes. Tri-City held the 2-0 lead going into the first intermission.
The Storm extended their lead in the first half of the second period when Victor Czeneckianair (7:28) scored. Tri-City added their fourth of the night with Cole McWard (13:42). The Lancers took the shutout away from Connor Hopkins when Michael Cameron (15:07) netted his second goal of the year making the score 4-1. Kyle Bettens was called on the assist.
In the third period, the Lancers called on newcomer, Grant Riley to play between the pipes. The Storm though would add another goal from Parker Lindauer (14:07) for a final score of 5-1.
The Lancers are now 7-4 on the season. Omaha will take on Des Moines on Saturday, December 26th at Ralston Arena. Puck drop is at 6:05 PM. All the action is on MixLR and HockeyTV. Tickets are available at www.lancers.com.
