DES MOINES, IA - The Omaha Lancers were shutout by the Des Moines Buccaners on Sunday afternoon at the Wells Fargo Arena by a final score of 2-0.
The game did not see its first goal until the third period when Paul Davey (11:41) got the Buccaneers up 1-0. Later in the third, the Lancers pulled Jakub Dobes for the extra attacker, but the Buccaneers would capitalize scoring an empty-net goal for a 2-0 final score.
The Lancers are now 8-5 on the year with 16 points and still sit at second in the USHL Western Conference.
The Lancers are back on the ice on Thursday, December 31st at the Tyson Events Center to face the Sioux City Musketeers. Puck drop is at 7:05 PM. Omaha will be on the road for three games starting on the 31st vs Sioux City, followed by another visit to the Musketeers on Saturday, January 2nd, and then back to Des Moines on Sunday, January 3rd.
