SIOUX CITY, IA - The Omaha Lancers were defeated by the Sioux City Musketeers on Saturday night by a final score of 3-1.
The Musketeers opened up the scoring in the second period with Chase Bradley (8:33) netting the puck in a scramble in front of the net of Jakub Dobes. The Lancers evened up the game 1-1 when Cam Mitchell (10:46) scored his first of the season on Akira Schmid. Less than a minute later, Christian Jimenez (11:37) sniped the puck from atop of the left circle beating Dobes to get Sioux City ahead 2-1.
In the third period, and with an empty Lancers net, Bradley (17:57) sealed the win for Sioux City 3-1 against the Lancers. Jakub Dobes faced 39 shots on the night only allowing one. Omaha is now 2-1 against the Musketeers on the season. The Lancers are 9-6 on the year with 18 points. Omaha returns to the ice on Sunday, January 3rd in Des Moines to face the Buccaneers.
