Lancers Add Two Forwards From BCHL

Ayrton Martino, Kienan Draper join Lancers

The Omaha Lancers announced the addition of forwards Ayrton Martino and Kienan Draper this morning from the Chilliwack Chiefs of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL). 

Martino (2002), a Toronto, Ontario native, spent last season playing in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) with the St. Michael’s Buzzers. In the 48 games Martino appeared in, the forward totaled 79 points on the season (29 G, 50 A). During the 2018-19 season with St. Michaels, Martino tallied 42 points (10 G, 32 A) on the year. Martino has been marked as a “B-Rated Skater” according to the NHL Central Scouting Committee and has been ranked #96 overall for the 2021 NHL Draft. The forward played in the 2019-20 World Junior A Challenge for Canada East, where he appeared in 5 games and raked in 5 points (2G, 3A). Martino is committed to playing NCAA hockey at Clarkson University. 

Draper (2002), son of 4-time Stanley Cup Champion with the Detroit Red Wings, Kris Draper, is a Detroit, Michigan Native. Last year he spent time with St. Andrews College where in 56 games he added 51 points (26 G, 25 A). Draper is also a 2020 draft pick of the Detroit Red Wings where he went in the 7th round, #187 overall. Draper is a product of the Little Caesars AAA organization. Draper is committed to playing NCAA hockey at Miami University. 

Martino and Draper will be in the lineup tonight against the Des Moines Buccaneers. Martino will be wearing #23 and Draper will be wearing #22.
