WEEKEND PREVIEW: HAWKS AND DOGS

LANCERS HOST BLACK HAWKS, TRAVEL TO FIGHTING WEINER DOGS

RALSTON, NE - The Omaha Lancers will meet up with the Waterloo Black Hawks and the Sioux Falls Fighting Weiner Dogs AKA Stampede this weekend. 

OMAHA VS WATERLOO SERIES SO FAR

The Lancers are facing off against the Black Hawks for the fifth time this season, and the third time in a week. Last weekend the Lancers and Black Hawks battled it out at Ralston Arena, where Omaha took the win with a third-period goal from Nolan Renwick. Sunday, the Lancers met up with the Black Hawks at Young Arena where the game went to a shootout, and the Black Hawks took their first win against Omaha this year. Omaha is 3-0-0-1 vs Waterloo this season. Friday will be the final time in the 2020-21 season that the Black Hawks will meet Omaha at Ralston Arena. The final time the two Western Conference teams will see each other is on Tuesday, March 9th at Young Arena.

OMAHA VS SIOUX FALLS SERIES SO FAR

Omaha and Sioux Falls will meet for the fifth time this season, as both teams are split in wins so far in the season-long series, 2-2. Saturday, the Lancers will be facing Sioux Falls for their annual Wiener Dog Race, where the team changes their name from the Stampede to the Fighting Weiner Dogs. Saturday will mark the second time since the 2018-19 season the Lancers have played against the Weiner Dogs.
