RALSTON, NE - The Omaha Lancers fell to the Tri-City Storm by a final score of 7-2 on Friday night.
In the first period, and on their first power play of the game, Hunter Strand (13:32) netted the puck past Reilly Herbst. The Lancers went on their first power play of the game soon after, where Ayrton Martino (15:54) showed off his skill beating Todd Scott to tie the game 1-1. Late in the period, Ben Schoen (19:33) got the Storm ahead 2-1 going into the first intermission.
In the second period, the Storm added three unanswered goals for a 5-1 lead.
In the third period, Tri-City scored two more goals for a 7-1 score. Kennedy O’Connor (13:03) netted his second of the season for the Lancer's final goal of the night for a 7-2 score.
Omaha is now 23-16-0-2 with 47 points and at 2nd in the USHL Western Conference.
The Lancers host the Fargo Force on Saturday, March 13th at Ralston Arena. The opening puck drop is set for 6:05 PM.
