Omaha Clinches Home Ice Advantage for 2021 Playoffs

RALSTON, NE - The Omaha Lancers shut out the Tri-City Storm on Saturday night in the final game of the Regular Season, 4-0. With the win, the Lancers clinched home-ice for the 2021 Clark Cup Playoffs. 

Early in the second period, Michael Posma (1:34) netted his 14th goal of the season scoring on Chase Clark. Andrew Centrella and TJ Schweighardt were called on the assist. The Lancers kept the 1-0 lead throughout the second frame.

In the third period, Nolan Renwick (1:53) scored after receiving the puck from Ayrton Martino for his 22nd goal this season. Moments later, Zach Dubinsky (3:57) scored his 14th of the year after help from Nolan Renwick and Andrew Centrella. Late in the period, Kyle Bettens (19:33) tucked the puck behind Clark as the Lancers would take a 4-0 win and a weekend sweep against the Storm. 

Jakub Dobes was perfect between the pipes stopping all 19 Storm shots that he faced.

The Lancers finished the Regular Season with a 30-20-2-1 record and finished at second in the USHL Western Conference. 

The Lancers will have the home-ice advantage for the 2021 Clark Cup Playoffs as they will host the Sioux City Musketeers. 

The Best-of-Three Playoff series will all be played at Ralston Arena starting on Saturday, May 1st at 6:05 PM, followed by a 4:05 PM puck drop on Sunday, May 2nd. If necessary, Game 3 will be played on Monday, May 3rd at 7:05 PM. 

Tickets for the Clark Cup Playoffs will be on sale later this week. Season Ticket Holders will have information sent to them on Monday.
