RALSTON, NE – Once again during the off-season, the Omaha Lancers will help develop and assist the growth of hockey in the greater Omaha community. The Lancers will host a pair of summer youth hockey schools this June at Ralston Arena, the team announced on Tuesday. Players ages 7-10 years old will run June 15th to the 19th and skaters age 11-14 years old will go June 22nd to the 26th, 2015.
“It is extremely important to our organization that we do all we can to support youth hockey in Omaha,” said Omaha Lancers Vice President of Business Operations Bryan Marshall. “This summer’s hockey schools will help ensure that youth players in our community have access to top level instruction from our coaching staff and players.”
At a cost of $350 per player, both camps will be held at the Lancers’ facilities inside Ralston Arena and will feature two on-ice sessions per day, along with classroom instruction and daily, off-ice, “dry-land” training sessions.
“We are excited to help support youth hockey in Omaha,” said head coach Brian Kaufman. “Our staff really enjoys getting on the ice and helping these young players reach their full potential. This camp will combine fundamental skill work along with a lot of fun.”
Campers will receive daily one-on-one and group instruction from the Lancers’ USHL coaching staff, along with current and former Lancers players and special guests.
