Lancers Announce 2017-18 Regular Season Schedule

Season Opens with 11 of First 15 Games at Home


Ralston, NE – The Omaha Lancers, in conjunction with the United States Hockey League, have announce the 2017-18 regular season schedule.

The Lancers will open the 32nd season in franchise history with a single game weekend against Tri-City at home on October 6. Puck drop is set for 7:05 pm. The following two weeks will feature back-to-back three-in-threes. In the first two months of the 2017-18 season the Lancers will play 11 of 15 games at home.

The 60-game schedule features 30 home games at Ralston Arena comprised of 15 Fridays, seven Saturdays, six Sundays, one Wednesday, and one Thursday. All home games will start at 7:05 pm except for Sunday games which will begin at 5:05 pm.

Omaha’s most frequent opponents will be in-state foes Tri-City and Lincoln, who the Lancers will see nine times each. Following the Stars and Storm are the Bucs, who the Lancers face eight times. Rounding out the Western Conference, Omaha will take on defending Western Conference Champ Sioux City four times (twice at both Ralston Arena, and Tyson Events Center), Sioux Falls four times, Fargo five times, and Waterloo three times.

March will be the busiest month for the Lancers as the team hits the ice 11 times. Four of those 11 games will be at home while the bulk takes place on the road including trips to Eastern Conference opponents Muskegon, Chicago, and Team USA. January and February are both ten game months for the Lancers, however, each month features five games at home, and five on the road.

The longest road trip of the season is five games from March 30- April 7, while the longest homestand is seven games from November 10-December 1.
