Ralston, NE -- Two Omaha Lancers Alumni have been named to the 2018 USA Olympic Roster.
William Borgen (1996), a Moorhead, MN, native played in 18 games for the Lancers during the 2014-15 season. While with Omaha, Borgen, tallied 6 points. The Defenseman is currently in his third season with St. Cloud State University and has a total of 87 games played with a total of 34 points. Borgen was drafted in the fourth round 95th overall by the Buffalo Sabers in the 2015 NHL draft. Borgen has also been named to the NCAA (NCHC) All-Rookie Team, NCAA (NCHC) Champion and U20 WJC Bronze Medal in the 2015-16 season.
Ryan Donato (1996), a Scituate, MA, native played in 8 games for the Lancers with Borgen in the 2014-15 season. Donato totaled 10 points in the 8 games he played. Ryan is in his third season at Harvard University and has played in 80 games and has tallied 81 points. The Forward was drafted in the second round, 56th overall by the Boston Bruins. Donato has numerous amounts of career highlights including: USHS All-USA Hockey First Team (2014-15), U20 WJC Bronze Medal (2015-16), NCAA (ECAC) All-Tournament Team, NCAA (ECAC) Champion, NCAA (ECAC) Second All-Star Team, NCAA All-Ivy League First Team and NCAA Ivy-League Player of the Year (2016-17).
