Late Comeback for Omaha falls short

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ralston, NE - The Lancers faced off against the Fargo Force for game 1 of the second round of the Clark Cup Playoffs on Saturday afternoon. This was the first postseason game for Omaha since 2015.

Early in the first period Calvin Pokorny (3:07) opened up the scoring on Zach Driscoll. Fargo held the 1-0 lead heading into the first intermission.

The Force kept on the attack in the second period. Mark Senden (18:17) scored a shorthanded goal for Fargo. Filip Suchy scored on Strauss Mann. While the puck found the back of the net, Mann collided with the net to knock it off. After the official review, the goal was called off. Fargo kept the 2-0 lead into the second intermission.

Omaha got on the board in the third period. Noah Cates (11:53) got the Lancers their first goal in the postseason scoring on Strauss Mann. Nearing the end of the period and on the power play, Omaha pulled Driscoll for an extra attacker. The Lancers could not capitalize and fell in game 1 to the Force, 2-1.

Driscoll stopped 18 of the 20 Fargo shots he faced.
