RALSTON, NE - The Omaha Lancers have announced the hiring of some familiar faces to Ralston Arena on Tuesday morning.
Kristyn Otter and John Nevarez will join the front office staff with the team. Both Otter and Nevarez are very acquainted with Ralston Arena, as they have previously worked in the arena.
Kristyn, an Omaha, Nebraska native, will be taking on the role of Director of Ticket Operations. She will oversee all payments, accounting, season tickets and will be overlooking the box office during Lancers game nights. Otter, a graduate of University of Nebraska Kearney (UNK) majored in Sports Management in 2017. Kristyn spent last year working for Ralston Arena as the Events Coordinator.
John, a native of Allen, Texas, will be taking the role of Sales Executive. Nevarez has a colorful background in the world of sports. A graduate of Louisiana Tech University, John was able to get his feet wet in the sports industry assisting the Athletic Director there. He eventually landed an internship with the Texas Revolution professional indoor football team (IFL) in Allen. With the Revs he was able to gain very valuable knowledge and experience. Within 6 months, his internship grew into a full-time front office manager and running backs coach position. Following the second season, John was blessed with the opportunity to become footballs youngest Assistant General Manager at 20 years old overseeing ticket sales and football operations. John's most memorable moment with the Revs by far was winning the CIF Championship in 2017. John spent last season with the Omaha Beef as the General Manager of the team.
“The new additions will finally give us a full office staff,” Lancers President Dave DeLuca said. “Both Kristyn and John bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Omaha Lancers. We’re very excited about this upcoming season, especially with the staff we have on our team and our commitment to excellence.”
The Omaha Lancers also want to thank Kelsey Ostendorf for her 7 years with the team and wish her good luck in her future endeavors. Kelsey did tremendous work for the Omaha Lancers and left big shoes to be filled. Her countless hours of working with the team, employees and most of all, the fans will be missed.
