RALSTON, NE - Omaha Lancers Head Coach and General Manager David Wilkie announced a trade on Wednesday morning. The Lancers have acquired forward Bryce Brodzinski from the Fargo Force in exchange for a second-round and third-round phase two draft pick.
Brodzinski, 17, a native of Blaine, MN has spent the past two years with the Blaine High Bengals (USHS-MN). In his past two seasons, Brodzinski lit the lamp 44 times, with a total of 93 points in 50 games played.
“Simply put, he is an elite scorer,” Wilkie said. “We felt that he was one of the best U18 and High School players in North America last season. He is a great fit for our group and we look to him forward to him being with our team.”
In 2015, Brodzinski played along new Lancers defenseman, Peter Tabor with the Minnesota Blades (16U) club.
The young forward is committed to play Big Ten hockey with the Minnesota Gophers. Bryce is also the younger brother to Los Angeles Kings Center, Jonny Brodzinski, who played in the USHL with the Fargo Force in 2011-2012.
