RALSTON, NE - The Omaha Lancers inked a deal with the Dubuque Fighting Saints Tuesday morning. The Lancers traded forward Andre Ghantous in exchange for forward Jan Kern.
Ghantous (98) played in three preseason games for the Lancers and earned an assist in game one against the Lincoln Stars.
Kern, a Czech Republic native, is in his second year in the USHL. During the 2017-18 season, Kern played in 54 games and totaled 13 points (7 goals and 6 assists) on the season. The 5-foot-11, 187-pound forward has played in six tournaments representing his home country (World Junior Classic and International Jrs.). In 2016-17, Kern earned a Hlinka Memorial Gold Medal and was named U18 WJC Top 3 Players. To see all of Kern’s stats click here.
The Lancers continue preseason play with a battle in Waterloo Tuesday night at Young Arena. Puck drop is at 7:00 pm.
