RALSTON, NE - The Omaha Lancers (0-2-0-0) kick off the weekend with a pair of games against in-state rivals.
Friday, October 5th the Lancers will travel west to take on their bitter rivals the Lincoln Stars (1-1-0-0) at the Ice Box, puck drop is at 7:05 pm.
Saturday, October 6th is the home opener of the 2018-19 season as the Lancers take on another in-state rival, the Tri-City Storm (2-0-0-0). Fans are asked to get to the rink early for festivities and to be introduced to the 2018-19 squad. The Lancers will also be wearing one of a kind specialty home opener jerseys that will be up for auction during the game. Following the Saturday night showdown, there will be an autograph session at Ralston Arena where fans can meet the players face-to-face.

Brian Silver and Tyler Carpenter lead the Lancers in scoring with 1 goal each. Silver scored the first goal for the Lancers in the 2018-19 season against the Waterloo Black Hawks, while Carpenter got his first on the year against Team USA at the USHL Fall Classic last weekend.
The first-year defenseman, John Prokop got his first USHL assist at the Fall Classic against the Waterloo Black Hawks.
Logan Will dished out an assist to kick off the year at the Fall Classic against Waterloo.
Purpura faced 55 shots at the Fall Classic last weekend. The netminder comes into this weekend with a 2.52 GAA and a .909 SV%.
The Lancers and Stars will faceoff for opening night at the Ice Box on Friday. Lincoln comes into the rivalry night matchup with a 1-1 record.
Shane Pinto leads the Stars with 3 goals.
Josiah Slavin holds the top ranks in assists with 3.
Wouter Peeters faced 53 shots in the USHL Fall Classic allowing 6 goals. Peeters comes into opening night at the Ice Box with a 3.03 GAA and a .887 SV%
The Tri-City Storm come to town on Saturday after coming out of the Fall Classic with a perfect 2-0-0-0 record.
Benji Eckerle leads the Storm in scoring with 2 goals and 1 assist.
Ex-Lancer Joe Berg leads Tri-City in assists with 3.
Goaltenders Isaiah Saville and Jake Barczewski picked up wins for the Storm last weekend. Saville holds a 1.00 GAA and a .955 SV% and Barczewski currently has a 4.00 GAA and a .879 SV%.
