Gameday Roster Moves

RALSTON, NE - The Omaha Lancers have announced a few roster move on Friday morning, hours before facing the Lincoln Stars at the Ice Box.

The Lancers have assigned forward Ben Perkins (1999) to the Langley Rivermen of the BCHL. Perkins played a total of 20 games over the past two seasons with the Lancers.

Omaha has added forward Joey Musa (2000) from Dartmouth College. The Orange Park, FL native will play with the team for 10 games. Musa spent the last three seasons between Trinity-Pawling School (USHS-Prep) and the Mid-Fairfield Rangers U18 (Midget) squads.

The Lancers have also acquired goaltender Akira Schmid from the Corpus Christi Icerays (NAHL) as an emergency backup. Schmid, a Bern, Switzerland native has two starts this season and has won both games giving himself a 1.50 GAA and a .948 SV%. The 6-foot-5, two hundred pound goaltender was drafted in the 5th round #136 overall in the 2018 NHL draft by the New Jersey Devils.

The Lancers return to the ice tonight to face the Lincoln Stars at the Ice Box. Puck drop is set for 7:05 pm. All of the action can be heard on KOIL Newstalk 1290 AM and seen on HockeyTV.
