WEEKLY PREVIEW: TWO GAME WEEKEND

LANCERS WILL FACE STORM IN KEARNEY ON FRIDAY, FORCE ON SATURDAY

RALSTON, NE - The Omaha Lancers (6-9-0-2) will hit the ice this weekend starting with a showdown in Kearney on Black Friday and a home game on Saturday.

Friday, November 23rd the Lancers will travel to Kearney for the third time this season to face the Tri-City Storm. This will be the sixth meetup between the two teams this year. Tri-City has the best of the season series against the Lancers with a 3-1-1 record.  The Storm currently sits at 4th place in the USHL Western Conference with an 11-4-0-1 record, and 23 points.

Saturday, November 24th the Lancers return to Ralston Arena to face the reigning Clark Cup Champions the Fargo Force. It’ll be the second time this season the Lancers have hosted the Force. October 12th, the Lancers defeated the Force 3-2 for their first regulation win of the season. Fargo currently sits at 6th place in the USHL Western Conference, one spot above Omaha, with a 7-7-0-2 record and 16 points.

Lancers Notes (6-9-0-2):

  • Brendan Furry leads the team in points with 6 goals and 7 assists.

  • Kalle Eriksson is the top scoring defender with 6 points.

  • Jake Kucharski comes into the weekend with a 3.71 GAA and a .868 SV%

  • Akira Schmid awaits the weekend with a 3.57 GAA and a .889 SV%

 

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:

  • Chase Bradley scored his first USHL career goal on 11/18

  • Jaden Shields forced OT against Sioux Falls with his first goal as a Lancer

  • Cam Ginnetti was traded to Cedar Rapids

  • Frank Dovorany (2001 Affiliate) has been added to the active roster

TRI-CITY (11-4-0-1):

  • Zac Jones leads the Storm in assists (10) and points (11).

  • Connor McMenamin (newly named Tri-City Captain) leads the Storm in goals (4) for a total of 10 points (4-6-10)

  • Isaiah Saville holds an 8-2-1 record and has recorded 2 shutouts on the year. The UNO committed Goaltender has a 1.54 GAA and a .938 SV%.

FARGO FORCE (7-7-0-2):

  • Ben Meyers leads the Force in scoring with 18 points (11-7-18).

  • Hank Crone has dished the most assists for the Fargo squad with 15 and a total of 17 points (2-15-17).

  • Conor Mayer is the top scoring defenseman for the Force (3-4-7) with a +3 rating.

  • Ryan Bischel holds a 5-6 record, a 3.18 GAA and a .885 SV%.
