Storm Top Lancers 5-2

KEARNEY, NE - The Omaha Lancers were beaten by the Tri-City Storm on Saturday night by a final score of 5-2.

The Storm scored two goals in the first period, followed by a third in the second period. The Lancers got their first goal of the game in the second frame when Travis Mitchell (5:18) scored on a slapshot from the blue line. Second-period scoring continued for the Storm as the put two more goals on the board, holding a 5-1 lead. The Lancers fought back for their second goal of the game from Cole Kodsi (13:20). Neither the Storm or Lancers scored in the third period, as Tri-City took the win 5-2.

The Lancers return to action on Monday, December 31st to face off against the Sioux City Musketeers. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 pm. All of the action can be heard on KOIL 1290 AM and seen on HockeyTV.
