SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Omaha Lancers were defeated on Friday night by the Sioux Falls Stampede by a final score of 4-1 at the Denny Sanford Premier Center.
The first two goals of the night came from the Stampede. Artem Ivanyuzhenkov at 9:32 in the first period, followed by Brian Chambers at 11:10 in the second period. Harrison Roy deflected a shot from Tyler Carpenter at 11:24 to get the Lancers on the board in a 2-1 game.
In the third period, the Stampede pulled ahead 3-1 when Jami Krannila scored just 22 seconds into the final frame. The Lancers pulled Jon Mor nearing the end of the game, but the extra attacker did not pay off as Ryan Johnson sent the puck into the open net from the Stampede zone. Sioux Falls went on to beat Omaha, 4-1.
