RALSTON, NE - Omaha Lancers forward Brian Silver announced his commitment to play collegiate hockey at Miami University via Twitter.
“I’m extremely excited to be able to join such a great program and cannot wait to become a part of the brotherhood,” Silver said.
Silver, a Lake Bluff, IL native is in his first full season with the Lancers. This year the defenseman-turned-forward has played in 36 games totaling 8 points on the season (3-5-8).
“They [Miami] liked my speed, physical play and work ethic,” Silver said.
Last season, Silver spent time between Omaha AAA and playing in 10 games with the Lancers. Silver is a product of Chicago Mission Hockey.
“The Lancers organization and coaching staff demand excellence every day that helped me develop the right mindset to perform at the highest level day in and day out,” Silver said.
