Lancers Fall in OT to Musketeers, 2-1

RALSTON, NE - The Omaha Lancers were edged out in overtime by the Sioux City Musketeers on Friday night by a final score of 2-1.

After a scoreless first period and late into the second period, Jaxon Nelson (15:20) scored to get the Lancers ahead 1-0.

Sioux City answered back in the dying seconds of the third period with the extra attacker on the ice. Jordan Steinmetz (19:32) scored to even the game 1-1 to force overtime.

In the extra frame, Parker Ford (1:50) sealed the win for the Musketeers 2-1. The Lancers are now 16-19-3-4 with 39 points on the season.

The Lancers return to the ice on Saturday, February 16th to face off against the Des Moines Buccaneers at Ralston Arena for Guns N Hoses night. Puck drop is at 7:05 pm.
