RALSTON, NE - The Omaha Lancers defeated the Fargo Force on Friday night by a final score of 3-1.
Late in the first period, Cole Kodsi (19:37) jammed the puck in past Ryan Bischel. Logan Will took the puck from the right wing, shot it off of the backhand where Kodsi found it to sneak it in. The Lancers kept the 1-0 lead going into the first intermission.
No goals were scored in the second period and it was not until late into the third the Lancers got on the board again. Zach Plucinski (17:36) ripped the puck from the high slot to score on Bischel. It was Plucinski’s first goal of his USHL career and first as a Lancer. Fargo pulled Bischel for the extra attacker but were unsuccessful as Blais Richartz (18:08) netted the empty net to get the Lancers ahead 3-0. Fargo finally broke their scoreless night with an even-strength goal from Adam Gajarsky (18:58). The Lancers would go on to defeat the Force by a final score of 3-1. Omaha improves on the season to 18-19-3-4 with 43 points.
